JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® (with lidocaine) is a new dermal filler treatment for the lips and peri-oral area.

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® is a filler based injection using hyaluronic acid (HA).  This filler is used to provide desirable improvements in facial areas for boosting volume, smoothing vertical creases, assist with lip contour, and achieving symmetry.  All can be achieve in a single comfortable treatment.

What JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® lip injections can do for you:

  • Diminish vertical lip lines (a.k.a. smoker's lines)
  • Accentuate the border of your lips
  • Plump up your lips to make them fuller
  • Enhance the cupid's bow (the "M" part of your mid-upper lip)

How do JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® lip injections work?

Allergan’s proprietary Vycross technology is used in the development of JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® with lidocaine.  It is formulated with an innovative combination of low and high molecular weight technology that improves the cross-linking efficiency of HA chains. Using this more effective cross-linking allows for a lower concentration of HA to be used and delivers an ultra-smooth gel resulting in a natural look and feel and improved duration. This technology results in less swelling and allows the product to absorb less water.  This new technology also tends to less downtime and less pain with the built-in lidocaine anesthetic.  Results commonly last up to twelve months.

Can JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® treatments be combined with other treatments?

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® treatments can be combined with some laser procedures that stimulate collagen and improve the final rejuvenation of the mouth area especially for treatment of smoker's lines that are often more difficult to treat.

What to expect after a JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® treatment.

Normal daily activities may be resumed immediately after treatment as there is virtually no swelling or bruising.
